The #60 Iron Lynx Porsche 911 RSR-19 of Claudio Schiavoni, Matteo Cressoni and Matteo Cairoli have won the European Le Mans Series 4 Hours of Spa following a penalty for the #16 Proton Competition entry.
The Iron Lynx Porsche crossed the line in second position, less than a second behind the #16, but the Proton entry was judged to have accelerated from a restart following a Full Course Yellow too soon and was handed a 10-second time penalty post-race which dropped it to third.
This elevates the #60 to the race win – the first of the season for the team, capping off a dramatic comeback drive during the eventful race. The result also draws the team level with the #16 entry with 61 points in the championship ahead of the doubleheader final round in Portugal in October.
