Some of the most brutally tough and unforgiving terrain on the planet
The FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) pits drivers, co-drivers and production-based cars against some of the most brutally tough and unforgiving terrain on the planet. Established in 1973, the WRC is an epic battle against the elements and the clock. It is spread across 14 rallies, covering four continents and 16 countries. Man and machine must master everything from snow-packed forest tracks in intense cold, to rock-strewn mountain passes in blistering heat. WRC2, the junior series, was established in 2013 to provide a stepping stone for teams, drivers and manufacturers.

Round 1 - Monte-Carlo
23 | 26 January 2025
With a heritage dating back to 1911, it’s renowned for its dramatic mix of mountain passes, icy roads, and unpredictable conditions. The rally’s stages wind through the stunning Alpes-Maritimes region, with iconic sections such as the Col de Turini offering breathtaking views and unforgettable action. Drivers must navigate tarmac roads that often switch between dry, wet, and ice-covered surfaces, making tyre choice critical. The rally is one of the oldest motorsport events in the world, adding a sense of tradition and honour for those who win.
Round 5 - Portugal
15 | 18 May 2025
A founding round of the WRC back in 1973, Rally de Portugal is ranked as one of the WRC’s classic events with challenging gravel stages to the east and south of Porto. Varying road surfaces and changeable weather add to the task facing crews. It’s also extremely popular among fans with enthusiastic spectators following the action in their tens of thousands. Over the years, the rally has received numerous awards, including ‘The Best Rally in the World’ (which it has won five times) and ‘The Most Improved Rally of the Year’ in 2000.
Round 6 - Sardinia
05 | 08 June 2025
Rally Italia Sardegna is one of the most demanding events on the WRC calendar. The stages are narrow and rough, with sun-baked gravel roads that can easily wear down both driver and machine. Known for its unpredictability, the rally offers a combination of tight, twisty roads and wider, fast stretches – often all within the same stage.
Drivers must navigate through some of the most technically difficult sections of the season, all while battling the heat and intense conditions.
Round 7 - Greece
26 | 29 June 2025
EKO Acropolis Rally Greece returns to its June slot in 2025, offering a challenging, high-speed test of strength for both drivers and machines. Known as the “Rally of the Gods,” the event’s rough gravel stages wind through Greece’s iconic mountain roads, demanding precision, resilience, and exceptional skill. After a series of years in September, the return to June promises a fresh challenge with hotter temperatures adding to the already brutal conditions.
Round 9 - Finland
31 July | 03 August 2025
A mix of hard, wide roads with narrower more technical sections. Flat out from start to finish. It is affectionately known as the Finnish Grand Prix and eight of the 10 fastest WRC rallies have been here.
Speeds are so high that time differences are small and there is little opportunity to regain vital seconds after a mistake.
One of the hardest rallies for co-drivers as high speeds demand a constant, pinpoint accurate delivery of pace notes.
If the speed is too high, the car’s aerodynamics will force the back down and the front will rise. The tactic is to brake before take-off and accelerate full throttle over the jump.
Round 12 – Central Europe
16 | 19 October 2025
Round 14 – Arabia
27 | 30 November 2025
